Can anyone help me, am trying to find out all I can regarding the Citadel in Caterham surrey, my grandfather Bandmaster Laker founded the citadel in Caterham Croydon Road.

I have a photograph taken from a History of Caterham which features my grandfather as Bandmaster, which I would presume is the centre person  in the photograph with large drum in front. Dated 1935.

I have searched the net for photographs and information but as yet have not found anything relevant.

I do have a copy of the original citadel in Caterham, which I attended during my very early years before I was taken into care.

My cousin Maureen Setter was a staunch member of this citadel, and lived in Colin Road Caterham.

My maiden name is Laker, and I do believe I attended the Sunday School there for a short period of time. certainly have recollections of the Band.

If anyone can help please leave me a message.

thanks

Does anyone here have any photographs or information of the Croydon Citadel?  my grandfather William John Laker I believe was a founder member according to a Bourne book concerning Caterham/Croydon......

I have found a few photographs but have no way of knowing year or members shown....

Also have already contacted Head Office, they carreid out a search and found nothing......

I have his Death Certificate, and Marriage Certificate, which took place at the Citadel.....

thank you for your time...
