The Museum
Open to the public, the
museum gives a pictorial outline of Salvation Army history.
Through the use of artifacts, photographs and special techniques,
the Army is portrayed as a spiritual movement with a strong social
conscience.
The visitor will be given insights into 19th century England and
how the founders, William and Catherine Booth, reached out in
compassion to the needy multitudes.
One can also see the development of social work, the changes in
music making, the disaster of the Empress of Ireland, how the Army
served our armed forces and the development of media
communications.
