New Salvation Army FDC Catalogue The 2009 edition of the SA FDC Catalogue, which includes about 180 illustrated pages of up-to-date First Day postmarked items of SA postal history, is now available. No serious Salvation Army collector should be without it! Cost is just �18.00 postage paid. 	New, History of Southampton Sholing Corps This 46 page A4 book takes a close look at the Salvation Army in Sholing from when it was officially formed in 1897. Extracts from the Corps records; research in local City archives and recollections of existing long serving members, with their photographs, have all been combined to produce a fascinating chronological record of the Corps. The book contains over 100 photographs, dating from 1904 and includes photos of the demolition of the 1928 Citadel in North East Road, Sholing, and the various stages of its 2003 replacement, as well as modern photos of the various groups that use the premises. The book is a must for anybody having a family connection with the Salvation Army in Sholing and of course for all Salvation Army Historians. Most of you will be familiar with Wikipedia and here at sacollectables we really like the concept. So we have built a Salvation Army version! Visitors can join the site, log in, and add and update pages. You can add information about your corps, band, songsters, SA officers you admire, in fact pretty well anything to do with the Salvation Army.

We have made a start, there are well over 2,500 pages of information on the site already. Now we need your help to make SAWiki the largest knowledge base of all things SA on the internet. One word of caution though, please do not add any time sensitive information.

Go on, give it a go, it is a lot easier than you think and we are always prepared to assist if you need any help. Don't forget to create your own user page which comes with a talk page so that other visitors can leave you messages and you can reply to them. Just click on the graphic on the left to get started.
