New Salvation Army Novel. My People - The Amazing Adventures of Marty and Max

An exciting adventure story book by Hugh Bradnam featuring two Junior Soldiers who, by means of a time warp, find themselves sharing in the life of the young William Booth, and discover what life was like for young people in the mid-nineteenth century.

New, History of Southampton Sholing Corps

This 46 page A4 book takes a close look at the Salvation Army in Sholing from when it was officially formed in 1897. Extracts from the Corps records; research in local City archives and recollections of existing long serving members, with their photographs, have all been combined to produce a fascinating chronological record of the Corps. The book contains over 100 photographs, dating from 1904 and includes photos of the demolition of the 1928 Citadel in North East Road, Sholing, and the various stages of its 2003 replacement, as well as modern photos of the various groups that use the premises.
